The 'British Distributing Company' was established in 1961 supplying wholesale electrical fittings out of a small shop in Haringey, London. From our humble beginnings through to today, we have applied the same fundamental principle of offering our customers an unrivalled service through our product range, competitive pricing and reliable delivery network.

We work closely with our suppliers to offer the widest range of quality branded electrical products at the best prices. With our buying power we are able to agree extra discounts and pass on the added value to every one of our customers.

Bridisco now operates through a nationwide network of 30 distribution centres in the UK including our 8 acre HQ site in North London. Every centre is committed to meeting the needs of their customers within the local marketplace.

We also have a vast networking potential worldwide. Through our export division and Hong Kong offices we currently distribute goods throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the USA.

Throughout the past 47 years, we have grown our business both organically and through acquisitions. In 1985, we launched our own brand Micromark. With an extensive range of decorative & commercial lighting, security products, small appliances, heating and ventilation products 'Micromark' is now a major national brand in its own right offering both high quality and value. In 1993, and following the success of the Micromark brand, we launched Powerlectrik - our electrical accessories brand offering good quality at low cost.
